In week one we are going to start at the very beginning. You're going to grab your camera or phone (whatever you have available for filming) and you're going to film a video. And then you're going to choose editing software, and edit a video. That's it. Well, I know it sounds simple but it's actually a lot and in today's video I'm going to give you some practical tools and advice to get that very first video done and dusted.
Last week you filmed and edited your first video. Congratulations! How did it feel? Was it awkward? Were you like Wil Ferrell in Anchorman and didn't know what to do with your hands? Don't worry, that's actually normal. This week I'm going to share some guidance and things that helped me when I was getting comfortable in front of the camera both when filming at home or even filming in a public place.
Privacy is a big issue when starting a YouTube Channel. And for some of you, you're hoping to build your channel into a business so you ALSO need to worry about things like having an LLC, taxes, and proper bookkeeping. In this two part week we will talk about all the things and I'll help you navigate how to set things up for success and maintain your privacy. VERY IMPORTANT!
So, by now you have hopefully filmed, edited and uploaded a few times. Now it's time to make sure that you are poised and ready for GROWTH. I will never promise anything in terms of numbers here, but I can give you some amazing tips I used to organically grow my own channels.
You are going to grow and change as a person and your YouTube channel should be able to grow and change with you! If you are really in this for the long term, this week we will talk about burnout, how to find and grow with your audience and the things I've done to ensure I can keep making videos week after week.
